Admiralty Dive Center is a NAUI Gold center. Our senior instructor has
been certifying divers for over a decade, and diving for over 20. His
experience and dedication mean all students are treated with care and
respect. ADC believes that a well prepared diver is a safer diver, and
we make sure divers are comfortable in the water and competent
before receiving their certification.

Learning to dive should be fun, and if you
don't feel comfortable, rushed, or uneasy
then you probably aren't having fun. The
Admiralty Dive team understands and will
do everything possible to make your
underwater journey an enjoyable and
rewarding experience. Our professional
instructors go the extra mile to make sure
that you have the skills and knowledge
necessary to dive once you graduate.

We keep classes small, and if you prefer
private lessons can be arranged for small
additional fee.

Basic Open Water certification is the
beginning of a great future in diving, and
NAUI augmented courses help you further
your skills and experience.

We offer the complete NAUI training
program through Divemaster, and are
happy to sit with you and help you plan for
your training goals. Give us a call and
schedule an appointment to review your
training needs.

Monkey Diving!

The guys at Red Sea Explorers have introduced us to a fun new way to dive, Monkey Diving. It's fun, it's different, and
let's face it it's got a goofy name, who wouldn't want to at least try it once. Come join the workshop where you learn
how to setup your gear, how to sling your bottle, and manage your buoyancy. This is rather fun for dry suit divers, and a
unique challenge (READ: VERY DIFFICULT) for wetsuit divers in 7mm wetsuits.

To monkey dive bring your harness and plate, leave your wing at home. If you don't have a plate and harness, call and
reserve one of our rentals!

Cost: Free
Next workshop begins: November 1 @ Noon

Preserving Maritime History--A primer in underwater archeology

In this special course and activity program you become a valued member of the community involved in documenting
and preserving our maritime heritage. As the years pass many historically significant items are lost to the elements,
changing bathymetry, and human attempts to protect the environment. Bottle hunting and artifact hunting is a popular
activity in the diving community, however even the smallest piece of bottle or collection of ballast rocks is important in
understanding and documenting naval history. The Northern Puget Sound and Straits of Juan de Fuca are rich with
maritime history in the form of wrecks, dunnage, and wharfage along waterfront communities. As a student in the
program you will become a key participant in the vital project to document and preserve history. The course itself
teaches you the basics of underwater surveying, documenting your findings, and identification/research techniques.

Cost: $25 (includes fees for JC historical archives)
Next class series begins: December 1@ 6:00pm

Trim and Buoyancy--A hands-on seminar

Let's take some time to play with our gear and get our weights and tanks where they need to be in
relation to our personal center of effort. We will review trim and buoyancy techniques as well as have the
opportunity to dry test your equipment and weighting placement.

Cost: $50 (includes gift card for ADC)
Classes: November 18 @ 6:00 pm

Gas Management and Dive Planning

Most of us know it's not a good idea to try and go to 200fsw on an aluminium 80, but there's more to dive
planning than that. Find out how to calculate your consumption rates including SAC and RMV. Learn
about rock-bottom times and how they can help you plan your dive with respect to your cylinder volume.

Cost: Free
Classes: November 11 @ 6pm

Tides and Currents

We live in an area that thrives thanks to the flush of nutrients from the ocean, but that flush means water movement
that can be difficult to navigate if not down right dangerous if you pick the wrong day or time of the tidal exchange. We
spend the evening discussing the movement of water in the Puget Sound and how to make smarter decisions on tides.
We practice using tide and current charts with location offsets, we look at topography and how it affects water
movement, and we detail local anomolies.

Cost: $25pp
Classes: November 10 @ 6pm
