April 19-20

There were quite a few folks out diving for the
weekend, scooters, monkey rigs, doubles, and
only a few cameras to be found. The marine
science center pilings are absolutely amazing
with plumrose anenomes covering most of the
real estate. Edmonds oil dock, eat your heart
out.

Brian found a very cool Old Mr. Boston
embossed bottle on their morning bottle
search.

Vis wasn't terrible, in spite of the algal bloom,
big tide exchanges, and runoff as seen by the
photo on the left from 27fsw.

ooooooo... scooters. Lynne said scooters were crack for divers. How true it is. The
scooters came in and immediately we set about to throwing out the "tow bar" that came
with it and adding a yoke system with a bolt snap. See the photos. Then away we went at
half speed just to get used to it. After a short 18 minute dive we all concluded that the
nose needed a 2.5# weight to keep it floating level and neutral. During the SI, we fixed that
problem. We added an XS Scuba quick attach weight pocket on the nose handle.

The two toilets at Hudson need some attention, and the advanced class for April will be
participating in getting both of them uncovered.

And we learned that Joey loves his new Atomic Aquatic fins. Zooooom.... there goes
Joey. Zoooooom.... there he goes again. And whatever you do don't let him get behind the
scooter while finning. Bye Bye!
